Job Responsibilities
Warehouse assistants receive, scan and sort inbound and outbound cargo and baggage, build and break down unit-load devices (ULDs) for aircraft loading, operate handheld scanning systems to track shipments, and support forklift or tug-vehicle operators in moving pallets and containers. Overnight shifts are common given cargo-flight schedules.
Requirements and Eligibility
- Physical fitness for lifting, standing and repetitive handling over a shift
- Basic literacy and numeracy for scanning and inventory systems
- Forklift or ULD-handling certification is an advantage and often trainable on the job
- Clean background check for airside/cargo-area access
- Basic English or local language for safety instructions
